What items do you need to check on a solar distribution box on a daily basis?

Routine inspections are essential for daily maintenance of solar distribution boxes. The primary concern is the overall condition and environment of the solar distribution box. Carefully observe whether there are obvious physical damages on the surface of the box, such as dents, cracks, or severe signs of rust, which may weaken its protective capabilities. At the same time, confirm that the box door opens and closes smoothly and the door lock functions normally and effectively, which is the first line of defense against unauthorized operation. Cleanliness is also important. Remove dust and stains accumulated on the surface of the box to keep it cool. In terms of environment, ensure that there are no debris piled up around the distribution box that hinders heat dissipation or operation, and there should be no water accumulation and moisture penetration at the bottom and around the box, so as to create a dry, clean, and well-ventilated operating space for electrical equipment.

Secondly, thoroughly check the status of the electrical components inside the solar distribution box. After startup, first check whether all indicator lights are on or off as expected. This is the most intuitive signal to judge the operating status of the system. Through careful observation or gentle touch when necessary, sense whether key components such as circuit breakers and switches have abnormally high temperatures. Overheating is often a sign of failure. Carefully check all internal wiring connection points to ensure that the terminals are firm and not loose, the insulation layer of the wires is intact, and there is no burning, discoloration or exposed copper wire. Check whether the data of the energy meter is displayed and accumulated normally, and pay attention to the operating status indicator and display panel parameters of the connected inverter to confirm that they are within the normal range and there is no alarm information.

Finally, safety signs and operation records are key links to ensure the long-term and reliable operation of the solar distribution box. Confirm that the high-voltage hazard warning signs and necessary operating instruction labels are clearly and completely posted on the box body. This is an important safety reminder. Before performing any internal inspection or maintenance operation, be sure to strictly abide by the safety regulations, confirm that the relevant circuit breakers have been completely disconnected, and do a good job of power testing and discharge to prevent electric shock accidents. Record in detail the various operating parameters observed during this inspection and the suspicious phenomena found, compare and analyze with historical data, and discover potential hidden dangers in time. Any abnormal situation found should be recorded clearly and accurately and followed up or reported according to the regulations. Adherence to these inspection items is the basis for ensuring efficient power generation and safe operation of the system.
